After 17 years as a secondary school teacher, working his way to become head of the Phys Ed department. Jerry has swapped the classroom/gym to teach learner drivers the skills required to pass their driving test as a student of Insight 2 Drive. Jerry says “I have always enjoyed working with people and helping them achieve their goals”.

I have loads .. all types of meat, cheese and chorizo!
Q5. What did you do before becoming a driving instructor?
I was Head of PE and Sport in a secondary school.
Q6. If you enter a room with three other people and there are only three chairs, what would you do?
I’d lie down on the floor – I find it comfier anyway!
Q7. What has been your most interesting moment, while on a driving lesson?
Fortunately … nothing out of the ordinary has happened … yet!

Q8. What has been your best, personal achievement so far?
Getting married… eventually!
Q9. Did you pass your driving test first time?
Yes. I was very lucky to take it in a small town in North Wales on market day. There was a one-way system in operation!
Q10. What hobbies do you have?
I’m a bit of a sports nut. I played competitive rugby until I was 39 and still love egg-chasing now. I support Everton FC and St Helens RLFC.
I’m also big on the outdoors and try to ski every year. I enjoy camping and walking in Snowdonia and the Lakes.
