| Advanced driving It is not about driving fast and controlling skids. It is about taking pride in driving to an advanced standard, thinking about what you are doing while driving or controlling the machine you are in charge of. Advanced driving has been called many things in the past, from Thinking Driving, Defensive Driving and now Safe and fuel efficient driving. | Just for girls This course is for the ladies. You will be coached by a female instructor who will also advise you on steps to protect yourself while driving alone, parking and what to do if your car breaks down. We have had positive feedback on this course and no one has gone home disappointed. At Insight 2 Drive at least 2 of our trainers have been trained in martial arts too. |
| IAM This is also based around the publication ‘RoadCraft’. Kathy has undergone 3 IAM tests! We can train you to this test at a time suitable for you. You can either take sessions at one a week or as often as you like. The IAM test which will last for 1 hour or more, an overall standard is looked for and will be conducted at a time suitable for you and at a place near you. |
| RoSPA This test is based around the publication ‘RoadCraft’ the police driving manual. Kathy has undergone 4 RoSPA tests! She is a RoSPA Diploma holder and is now an examiner for the RoadTest. We can train you to this test at a time suitable for you. The RoSPA test will which will last for 1 hour or more, an overall standard is looked for and will be conducted at a time suitable for you and at a place near you. You will be graded Gold, Silver or Bronze depending on you overall standard. |
| Diamond The DIAmond Advanced Test is based around the publication ‘Driving the Essential Skills’ the same book you should have used during your L test. Kathy is a DIAmond Test Examiner. This test is conducted similar to a driving test with a fault system, and lasts at least 1 hour. You are allowed 6 minor driving faults and no Serious or Dangerous faults. If you are thinking of becoming a driving instructor this could be the best way to find out if you can pass the ADI part 2 test. The DIAmond Advanced test will be conducted at a time suitable for you. The DIAmond Special Test is also based around the same book, but is conducted over 1 and half hours. This test is conducted similar to the DIAmond Advanced. However, you are only allowed 2 minor driving faults and you must not commit the same fault twice. With no Serious or Dangerous faults either The DIAmond Special test will be conducted at a time suitable for you. |
| Cardington The Cardington Special Test is only available to fully qualified ADIs and is based around the publication ‘Driving the Essential Skills’ the same book you should have used during your ADI Part 2 Test. This test is conducted similar to a driving test with a fault system, and lasts at least 1 hour 15 minutes. You are only allowed 3 minor driving faults and no Serious or Dangerous faults, and you must not commit the same fault twice. The Cardington test is conducted at the DSA training facility at Cardington in Berkshire, which is a 3 to 4 hour drive from Merseyside, so it is not to be taken lightly; it is also the most expensive. |
